Annually the PSME will honor Mechanical Engineering professionals who, in one way or another, have excelled in different fields of endeavor and have rendered outstanding services to our Society. The awards of recognition will be conferred in accordance with the guidelines and criteria. The awards are divided into three (3) categories as follows:
1. Fellow - highest and most prestigious award that PSME could give and is conferred to members who have rendered outstanding services over many years to the Society
2. The Outstanding Mechanical Engineer (TOME) Award - those who have excelled in their chosen fields of endeavors. Under this classification, awards shall be conferred under the following:
- Contracting
- Education
- Government Service
- Entrepreneurship
- Community Services
- Management
- Manufacturing
- Consultancy
- Research, Innovation and Invention
- Special Category
3. PSME Accomplishment and Service Awards - given out in recognition of outstanding accomplishments and services rendered in the different activities of the Society. The different categories are as follows:
- Most Outstanding Chapter President
- Most Outstanding Committee Chairman
- Most Outstanding Chapter Committee Chairman
- Most Outstanding National Committee Chairman
- Most Outstanding Chapter Project
- Best Chapter in Membership Growth
- Most Outstanding Member
- Most Outstanding Chapter
- Other Awards that the Awards and Recognition Committee and the Board may deem necessary
1. Qualifications
a. Members in good standing with the annual dues paid before the start of the 3rd quarter
b. Endorsed by the Board of Directors of the Chapter through a Board Resolution
d. Not be an incumbent PSME National Officer or Director whether elected or appointed
e. Not be an incumbent member of the Chapter’s Executive Committee (President; Vice President; Secretary; Treasurer; Immediate Past President)
f. Not be a Past TOME awardee except if nominated in another category
g. Fellow Awardees are disqualified for TOME awards.
2. Documents to be submitted
a. Bio-data of nominee
b. Pictures of nominee(s) (50mm x 50mm);
c. Copy of the Nominee’s current PRC Identification Card;
d. Board Resolution of the Chapter endorsing the nominees, including class and category each nominee is entered
e. Write up as to why nominee deserves the award (not more than 150 words)
f. Performance record in his chapter citing among others the following:
1. Position/s held in the PSME
2. Various committee activities
3. Awards received from PSME
4. Conventions and conferences attended
5. Position/s held in civic organizations and awards received
6. Service rendered to his community and country
If you have nominee(s) for our chapter, submit them to us on or before the dates indicated below
Deadlines:
Classification I and II …………………………… June 30, 2014

The awarding will be done on the coming PSME Annual Convention 2014
