Starting last November, 2011 mechanical engineers renewing their license will need to submit a "Certificate of Good Standing" to the PRC (Professional Regulation Commission) in addition to other requirements.
The Professional Regulation Commission thru Hon. Chairperson T.R. Manzala issued Order No. 2011-375 dated October 27, 2011 resuming the implementation of Board of Mechanical Engineering Resolution No. 5 requiring the certificate for good standing for the renewal of licenses.
Our PSME Batangas East chapter will soon be issuing these certificates to the members who have fully paid their annual dues when they will renew their license. All members who need one for the renewal of their license can contact our officers.

ReplyDeleteYes, you can get the certificate of good standing from the chapter nearest you and not necessarily from Manila chapter. Soon, you may not need to even go to Manila to renew your professional ID (this will be very advantageous if you are not in Manila)

DeleteI believe the fee for lifetime membership is PHP 10,000 now. It is not really for the chapter though but rather for the PSME national office
CPE is not yet required to renew the license.
You can contact 0933-313-1798 or 0932-309-2748 and look for John on directions for the office address.

DeleteWhich PSME chapter are you a member of ? There should be no fee if you are a member with good standing (including no unpaid financial obligations) in your local chapter. The Certificate of Good Standing just certifies this status with the chapter you are in.

DeleteSince you are renewing RME license, I believe you already are a member of the PSME before. Thus there is no need for the registration fee of ₱250 and only need to pay the annual dues. The annual dues for regular membership total ₱2,250 good for 3 years.

We don't have a fixed office address yet as the Chapter is quite young and we just conduct business at the offices where we are employed at the moment. Delete1) your old PRC ID
2) the Certification of Good Standing from your local PSME chapter
3) Filled up renewal form and your payment
Don't worry if you didn't renew in time. There is a surcharge depending on the length of time but you need to check with the PRC for the actual amount
